MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer | Reckless & Funk | Review & Swatches

MUA Lauched its LUXE collection i knew i just knew i wanted it badly, especially those Velvet Lip Lacquers. They looked so tempting on their website that i couldnot wait for them to be available on online stores. And as soon as they were available I placed my order :) So, Here I am with the Review of MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer. I was on the top of the world when i got them. But did it worked as it claimed ? Read my review and find all about it.
About the Product :
Smooch your way to red carpet glamour with MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers. Long - lasting and kiss proof, these intense formulas come in five rich, vampy shades. Encased in chic frosted glass packaging, these lacquers glide on with the ease of a gloss, drying in seconds into a matte velvety texture. They are the ultimate product which every make-up bag must have.
MUA claims it ‘dries in seconds’ YES It applies like a gloss, but within seconds it dries up. So you need to have quite a steady hand to apply this on your lips otherwise it is difficult to remove it around the edges. I highly recommend applying Lip liner for precise application.
The formula is thick in consistency and glides on very easily and gives matte and velvety texture and it doesnot give velvet-matte finish without drying your lips so using lip balm underneath is suggested. I wouldn’t recommend pressing your lips together as they will stick to each other and may peel off in patches. Once it dries up, it does not budge
Now onto the staying power! The staying power is average. I will not call it LONG LASTING ... I am not someone who frequently eats lipstick so Lipstick usually last longer on me BUT i am quite disappointed with these lacquers. They hardly stayed for 2-3 hours and then started to fade. I strongly suggest not to apply any gloss or lip balm after application!! It will start fading in patches which is quite annoying and looks bad. And yes Its certainly water proof even with eating n drinking it will not transfer.

The packaging is very sleek and luxurious. It comes in a black
cardboard packaging with the name of the product written with
Golden color. The product comes in a frosted glass finish like
plastic tube with a frosted black cap printed with gold text. Allowing you
to see the colour of the product inside. The applicator is a slanted doe
foot one designed to give a very precise application.

Initially I thought i will not buy any more of these lacquers because in
the beginning I topped my lacquer with gloss and those patches were annoying
but once I started to just apply the lacquer and leave it for few minutes, I
am loving it and certainly buying more shades :) next shade in my list is
"kooky" and "atomic".
